The SMP adapter offers a frequency range of DC to 40 GHz. The adapters are constructed in a range of mounting styles such as 2-hole flange, 4-hole flange, etc. as well as the gender combinations by male and female between SMP and SMA. Further, the available detent types as full, limited, smooth bore, and catchers mitt that provide respective levels of interconnect forces. It also can be utilized in a board-to-board design using a floating bullet adapter. This floating characteristic and blind-mate is applied to accommodate both radial and axial misalignment.
